SANTA BANTA DHABA opened up to largely cater to the discerning tourists , business travellers , transit crowd as well as locals . We identified the need to bring the best flavours and practices of Indian Food ( both North and South ) in this region which has an impressive potential . We succeeded in opening up three ventures within 4 years . 
Additionally CHAIYARII was launched recently at Siliguri . This is the first ever casual joint to bring in the innovatie concept of Dabba's - Nutritious, wholesome Indian Stuffings in a hollow bread that's generously flipped in the goodness of Amul Butter .

I got placement through campus and joined ITDC after graduating in 1988 as KT. Worked in Ashok and Samrat hotels in Delhi for 1 year. Was transferred to Kovalam as KET and in less than 6 months there got bored of the kitchens.... being a foodie I knew I was in the wrong side of the table. Quit hotels and studied Travel & Tourism. Set up a Trave Agency and ran it successfully for 5 years, expanded by adding Canadian Immigration program by tying up with a Canadian lawyer, sold that business. Then spent next 5 years trying to build a KPO targeting the Govt segment with patented solutions... Failed in that venture and lost nearly everything... decided to work in an organisation. Joined Siemens Shared Services in Bangalore and helped set up a Travel Vertical. Now head the captive KPO of the world’s 3rd largest Travel Management Company for 12 years.... contemplating of venturing into the entrepreneurial journey again

I passed out in April 1998, and left hotels by November 1998.. Started Event management locally in Lucknow (my home city).. created a small name in the event circle there and when UTV wanted some help to organise stadium concerts in UP they approached me.. 

To cut a long story short, got hired by UTV for their events division, went to ambience Publicis to head their event operation team and started my own in 2004..

My entrepreneur journey started in 2004, the seeds were sown starting that year. In event industry you are as good as your last project and in Ambience we were doing a campaign where i had given a cost of 1.2CR for the project, i had to leave for my hometown for a family gathering.. Once i was back it dawned on me that the event without any change in deliverable has been agreed for 70L by the marketing team and my CEO..  Ofcourse that was a disaster.. So i opened a production company called Clockwork (Precision in events) and promised all my clients that if we commit to a project then that will be done and at a cost which we agree to and the cost will not change unless the creative brief changes... It was a great journey for the last 16 years with a client retention of close to 90%... Most known events done by us are auditions of all major reality show like indian idol, india's got talent, KBC, Masterchef, Super singer, Laughter challenge and many many more.. We did all the stadium concerts for the EDM Brand Supersonic with artiste like Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Major Lazer, Above and Beyond, Chainsmokers, Pretty Light etc. Comedy tour of Russel Brand and Indian Acts. International bands like Alt J, Slash and others. We handled award ceremony like Star parivaar awards, Filmfare awards, Screen awards, Zee Cine awards, Sporting events like Pro kabbadi (Gujrat Team), Premier Futsal, Lusofonia Games etc.. International production management for A.R Rahman for North America Tour, Illiyaraja and Salman Khan Tour of Dubai.. and countless events and auditions...  Most Importantly and I tell this to everyone the reason I as able to do this was the clarity and logically how to approach a situation was taught first to me by Mr. Anutosh Bhakta... what to do when a guests checks in or checks out is based on logic, and meanwhile my batchmates mugged up the process i understood the logic of ot and how it helps the hotel as well as the guests.. So I had a good teacher...

Pritam Dutta ( 2007 - 2010 ) , IHM Kolkata. 
Started taking small party orders during Institute time itself. Outdoor Caterings & Events with Chef Rongon's Continental Catering , Naveen Pai , Ruia and other renowened companies helped me after my institute days.
My joining with Swissotel was 6 months post my finals. So started my career with Taj Kovalam and rejoined Swissotel later in their pre opening team. I kept my small party orders with wedding planning services going which i started during institute days and also registered it under a brand name Asparagus.
In addition to that I did a correspondence MBA course from IGNOU. 
But after 2011 i was facing difficulities to carry both simultaneously. So i left job and focused on my self employment. 
Presently I am running Asparagus Hospitality Services which deals with Wedding Planning services , with inhouse food catering and decoration unit , Contractual and Leased Banquets and other soft skill services related to the Hospitality Industry. Presently serving in East and North East Part of India.

Television Chef with E TV Bangla for 6 years , Aakash Ath for 7 years , Guest appearance as Chef in few episodes of “Khokababu “the popular  Bengali Mega serial of Star Jalsha , chief judge of ‘ Rupchanda - The Super Chef ‘ the biggest Reality show of Bangladesh for 2 consecutive years ( , 2018 & 2019 ), food columnist . Partner of Continental Catering Services , a Kolkata based outdoor catering organisation.

Left Job and started full-fledged Consultancy from 2014, done 94 Projects till date across India and also in Singapore, Bhutan , Nepal and Oman, Having prestigious clients like IRCTC, WBTDC, Queen of Bhutan , Bhawan group of Oman etc. 
May 2019 Launched Bengali Sweet Store in Bangalore, Named Bong Moyra .
Within 10 months opened 3 more stores, at present Bong Moyra is having 4 stores in Bangalore. 
This year February Launched an Authentic Bengali Restaurant in Mumbai, named Ahare Kolkata.

Arijit Khan . 2000 passout.  Was in the industry for 5yrs and 5 yrs in academics.  Then started our own business . Had an mango orchard of our own, wanted to do something' that will be economically viable keeping the greenery of the place intact. Here we developed  this picnic garden with venues for weddings and other events also. 🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊

Debjeet Majumdar, passed out in 2002 and started Outdoor Catering business with batchmate Rajdeep Banerjee, was parallely into Hospitality teaching in the capacity of full time and part time in many institutes since 2004 to 2014.Working as freelance consultant from 2007,now  under our company Passion 4 Hospitality. Also associated with few skill development companies as an expert. Also a Subject Expert for Tourism and Hospitality for Vocational Studies in Schools nominated by Government Of West Bengal.

Took a break to act in TV Serial Janani in 94-95 and then was a full time Art of Living Teacher till 2004 when I came back to work with NIS Sparta. Then AVP HR Shared Services at Genpact, Head Leadership Hiring at Satyam, then Head- Corporate HR at Polaris Chennai. Wanted to come back to Kolkata, so set up SurFiré the Coastal Café. Open to consulting for Hospitality businesses as well. :)

Started an e based direct to home set up for Maharashtrian packaged snacks at Delhi in 2000 by name AAPULKI meaning belongingness.

Moved to Pune in 2011, my present location

I am also involved voluntarily in Cadaver Based Donations Awareness. Also in certain facets of Interspecies Communication.
